After issuing the /join command, the name of the channel to be joined is printed in the chat window as a regular chat message. That may confuse users since they may start thinking that this went out as a plain chat message.
I suggest either using status/event type for the corresponding message or printing the command name as well as the channel name. Or, even better, combine the both.
