Shortcut modifiers are messed up on Mac OS X

Description
Default Ctrl+<.> shortcuts are in fact Command+<.>
Of course, Ctrl-Tab is useless, since Mac OS X switches applications with it.
In the keyboard settings dialog one cannot change shortcuts properly too:
- pressing Ctrl gives you Meta
- pressing Cmd gives Ctrl
There seems to be no way to define usable Ctrl-shortcuts, which is really a PITA.

P.S. Qt4-based Psi client seems to work fine with both default shortcuts and their customization.
I'm not sure it makes sense. Qt tries to be smart automatically replacing the shortcuts, does it really worth it to outsmart Qt's smarteness?

I don't think anybody appreciates that kind of smartypantsness, I for one prefer an application to behave predictably. Either way, one just cannot use Ctrl-Tab and Ctrl-F4 shortcuts at all, for example, and it drives me nuts to use Alt for those.

Actually, this behavior pisses me off as well.

Ok, so now opening a tab is really Ctrl+T (instead of much more handy and Mac-way Command+T), closing is Ctrl+W (instead of Command+W), etc. Just used this a little bit myself, and feels like things actually got worse. I suggest reverting this.
IMO the proper way to fix this is to show Command as Command and not as Ctrl etc. in the shortcuts dialog.
This fix hasn't actually fixed anything for me (I still couldn't switch with tabs Ctrl-Tab), but now (after revert) I can't even switch with Alt-Tab as I had to in 0.6.60 (-:E
